Race 12
Netherlands

The last race to be held at the fantastic Zandvoort circuit, and as always it was a good one.

The Sprint was somewhat of a procession, pretty much the only change of position being Russell getting past Norris for the win.

The race was a different story, Lots of overtaking moves, Russell dropped back, Antonelli took the lead then Norris reclaimed it for the win.

Very dramatic start as home hero Verstapen had a bad spin, crashed and was out!

Other retirements: Bottas, Ocon, Bearman, Stroll.

Injured Hadjar was replaced by Lawson, who (pains me to say it!) did well, and a returning Yuki Tsunoda in turn replaced Lawson at Racing Bulls, also doing well and ending one place in front of team mate Lindblad.

The FGP

A win for Synergy.

In the Championship, this race saw a lot of players using their bonus race, and that has shifted things around a lot in the Top 10. Although the Top 2 remain as they were... Myknos Sandals have not come off that top slot since the very first race, can they become the first team ever in FGP history to be top from start to end?

Starting Grid Updated - T2 Part 2

The players 'Starting Grid' has now been updated to show teams after the second phase of T2 Transfers in time for the Netherlands GP. 38 additional transfers were made each at a cost of 50 Championship points which have now been deducted from each teams scores. Transfers requested for following races will be added to the grid before each race.

More Transfers?

You may still make further transfers from your T2 selections.

  • Transfers will cost 50 Championship points per transfer
  • You may make a maximum of Three transfers from Transfers 2
  • Email the FGP Manager
  • You may send more than one transfer in your email, but only one will be made per race.
  • Transfers will be made in the order you send them
  • Please state: Team Name, Driver/Car OUT, Driver/Car IN (in that order please)
  • Transfers for Race 13 Italy (Monza) must be sent NO LATER than 7.00pm Thursday 3 September

Extra Race/Malaysia Added To Calendar

Malaysia has been add to this year's race calendar. It will take place over the weekend 3-4 October, between the Azerbaijan and Singapore race weekends. For some overly complex reasoning, it is being called the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia! This will bring the number of races up to 23.

The FGP Dilemma
As things stand, when this race takes place the usual points will awarded, however, there will be no Race Prize money available. This was previously explained by email at the time of the earlier race cancellations.

Players chosen bonus races have been amended to coincide with whatever number race it now becomes on the calendar. No one will have Malaysia as their bonus race.

Transfers 3 will still take place ahead of the (current) last six races, meaning that Transfers 2 will now be after Race 17, which is still Singapore (that was 16).... Keeping up?!

The above is VERY flexible at present. There is now every possibility that the last two races, Qatar and Abu-Dhabi, will be cancelled, or held elsewhere. That will throw another pile of wood on the FGP fire.

Additional note added here.  |   See Starting Grid for revised Bonus Race numbering
