Spain (Madrid)

After all the moans and complaints that Monaco has faced after recent years, the cars are too big for it, the course is to tight, there is no overtaking.... What happens? Brand new modern circuit in Madrid that got even less overtaking chances and not nearly as glam. Totally dull and boring race!!

The only excitement came when the virtual safety car came along and shut before Norris got to the pits and he lost what was a clear race winning lead!

Hamilton retired with a brake issue, Stroll crashed and caused that VSC, Perez and Sainz also retired.

Antonelli gets the win, Verstapen second and an unlucky Norris in third.

The FGP

The T2 transfers have made a difference as teams that were not winning mney start to make regular appearances in the Top 10.

We have three more races to go until the next transfers (T3), somewhat depending how things pan out in the next few weeks regards the final races! Azerbaijan is next, and then it's (Bahrain in) Malaysia. Hopefully a decision is made before Malaysia. At present it's a FGP non-Prize race...     Time will tell! (see below)

Malaysia

Malaysia has been add to this year's race calendar. It will take place over the weekend 3-4 October, between the Azerbaijan and Singapore race weekends. It is being called the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. This will bring the number of races up to 23.

The FGP Dilemma
As things stand, when this race takes place the usual points will be awarded, however, there will be no Race Prize money available.

Transfers 3 will still take place ahead of the (current) last six races, meaning that Transfers 2 will now be after Race 17, Singapore.

The above is VERY flexible at present. There is now every possibility that the last two races, Qatar and Abu-Dhabi, will be cancelled, or held elsewhere.
