Are We There Yet?
The mechanics are tired, the commentators are tired, the drivers are
tired, I'm tired(!), and the stewards give out some ridiculous penalties!!
In a race full of odd and over the top penalties, Verstapen triumphs
again. Norris ran second all race until the stewards gave him a 10 second
stop/go penalty for marginally missing a red flag which sent him to the back
of the grid and he only recovered to tenth. Up until that point, the
constructors championship was McLaren's. It now goes down to the last
race.... The cynic in me is rising just a little?!
Only 15 got to the end, Colapinto and Ocon didn't even get to the end of
the first lap. Stroll retired shortly after, Hulkenburg put it in the gravel
(again) and of course Perez spun with no one near him!
Leclerc kept Piastri behind him all race, Mercedes messed up George
Russell's race with a bad pit stop and then put the tyes on he didn't want!
In The FGP...
What The Fugg win for the second week running in a mighty last ditch
attempt. Neither of our top 2 contenders got near the Top 10 in the race.
Nice to see one of the Charity Teams in the mix.
Ginger Racing #1 slightly extends their lead over What A Load, but it's
all going to the wire with nothing certain between them. HoRace 1 had a good
race and have narrowed the gap from 3rd to 2nd but it's tall order. Both
What The Fugg and Once Upon A Tme move up the Top 10, but the ten is the
same teams as last week.
The gaps between teams is still small down to 20 so a lot could still
change in the last race.
One Race Left!
After 23 races we are almost there, with just one race left, the
Abu-Dhabi Grand Prix. The Constructors title is a fight between McLaren and
21 points behind, Ferrari. Leclerc can catch Norris for second in the
drivers title.
