Starting Grid Updated - T2 Part 2

The players 'Starting Grid' has now been updated to show teams after the second phase of T2 Transfers in time for the Netherlands GP. 38 additional transfers were made each at a cost of 50 Championship points which have now been deducted from each teams scores. Transfers requested for following races will be added to the grid before each race.

Extra Race/Malaysia Added To Calendar

Malaysia has been add to this year's race calendar. It will take place over the weekend 3-4 October, between the Azerbaijan and Singapore race weekends. For some overly complex reasoning, it is being called the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia! This will bring the number of races up to 23.

The FGP Dilemma
As things stand, when this race takes place the usual points will awarded, however, there will be no Race Prize money available. This was previously explained by email at the time of the earlier race cancellations.

Players chosen bonus races have been amended to coincide with whatever number race it now becomes on the calendar. No one will have Malaysia as their bonus race.

Transfers 3 will still take place ahead of the (current) last six races, meaning that Transfers 2 will now be after Race 17, which is still Singapore (that was 16).... Keeping up?!

The above is VERY flexible at present. There is now every possibility that the last two races, Qatar and Abu-Dhabi, will be cancelled, or held elsewhere. That will throw another pile of wood on the FGP fire.

Additional note added here.  |   See Starting Grid for revised Bonus Race numbering

Race 11
Hungary

Fantastic race with the four top teams all in the mix.

Lando Norris was back on top form winning his first race since becoming World Champion last year. Piastri was doing OK untill backmarker Sainz got in his way. Then his gear box failed and he was out.

Russell suffered an anti-stall nightmare at the start and dropped to the back, revering to sixth, where he started from.

Great drive from Verstapen to second. It all went wrong for Hamilton, getting a grid penalty from qualifying and then a penalty for speeding in the pit lane.

As well as Piastri, both Cadillac's retired.

The FGP

The race win goes to.... oh yes, that'll be me then!! Stormbringer takes the win followed by Myknos Sandals, again.

Several teams in the Race Top 10 for the first time (including the winner).

Looking at the scores from this race and the 'Starting Grid', some teams still have Cadillac elements in them. You have to wonder why at this stage!

Myknos are still at the top of the Championship, 602 points clear of Mama Weer All Crazee. No one has ever been at the top of the Championship for every race in an FGP season before, and although there are still a lot of races to go it's looking pretty good at present.
