Point Scoring - Qualifying And Grand Prix

Note for 2026: An extra team, and therefore two extra drivers have been added to this year's F1 Grid. Therefore adjustments have been made to each session of point scoring with the FGP.

Note: Points are scored by your Race Team (3 Drivers / 3 Constructors)

Qualifying

Points will be awarded for Qualifying as follows:

All of the above points are scored by all drivers, and the best placed car of each Constructor.

  • The qualifying position will be the position that Drivers/Cars actually qualified at, which is not always their final Grid position due to penalties.
  • If a Driver/Constructor is disqualified from qualifying but still races, they will score zero Qualifying points but still start at their qualifying position (as they will most likely start the race at the back or the from the pits they will not receive race improvement points until passing their original qualified position.
  • Should the disqualified driver/constructor not race, that space on the FGP Grid will not be filled (i.e. Drivers behind do not move forward)

Race Points (End of Race)
Points are awarded to Drivers and Cars at the end of the race depending on what position they finish in. Both cars of a Constructor will score points for their respective positions. If a Driver or Car does not finish the race, they do not receive these points.

Race Improvement Points

  • Drivers will get 5 points per place made up in the race, up to a maximum of 80 points. Therefore if a driver starts from 10th and finishes 4th he will receive 30 improvement points.
  • The best finishing car of a Constructor will score 5 points per place made up against that Constructor’s best start position - Up to a maximum of 80 points.
    • For example: if a constructor qualified 5th and 10th on the grid and those cars finished in 3rd and 6th then the best finishing car would score 10 points. (i.e. The highest starter’s position is deducted from the highest finisher’s position and (if the result is positive) multiplied by 5 to a maximum of 80)

Fastest Lap Points
The Driver and the Constructor that achieves the Fastest Lap of the race are each awarded 20 points.

Fastest Pit Stop Points
The Constructor that achieves the fastest Pit Stop within the race will score 15 points. Note these points are only scored by the Constructor, not the Drivers.

Car and Driver Combination Points
If one or your teams Driver and Car combinations finishes then 10 points will be scored. If two Driver/Car combinations finish, 20 points will be scored. If all three Driver/Car combinations finish then 35 points will be scored.
Note: Both cars of the F1 Team must finish to score the bonus points. i.e. If you have Hamilton in a McLaren and only one McLaren car finishes then no points for that combination will be scored.

 

Sprint Race Points

Within the 2026 season there will be six Sprint Races.

On a 'Sprint' weekend Saturday a separate Sprint Race will take place.

The result of the Sprint Race will have no bearing on the the main Sunday Grand Prix.

No FGP points will be scored for Sprint Qualifying. Points will only be awarded for the Sprint Race.

Sprint points are scored in a similar way to that of the GP Qualifying points, i.e. points are scored by all drivers and the best placed car of each constructor as per the table below:

   Bonus Race Points  

At the start of the season you will have selected two bonus races, one from the Sprint Weekends, and another from the remaining races (not the last two).

When your team receives their points during a Bonus Race the team scores double points towards their Championship total.

The Race points remain 'singular'/not doubled.

The Bonus Weekend Points doubles the total weekend's Championship score (not just the Sprint Race).
