That was intense!
I'll try and keep it short because I don't think I can do this one
justice how ever I write it! Being away for the weekend and not looking
until I'd watched the highlights made things a bit surprising and somewhat
complicated to work out to say the least!
It was wet.... There was a relatively straight forward Sprint.... There
was a delayed until Sunday Quallifying in the wet with an odd grid set...
Max had a five place grid drop, and then only quallified 12th, so he started
from 17.... The race formation lap happend at least two times (I lost
count!)... It rained, then rained more, then it chucked it down... There was
red flag when Coapinto crashed badly... Mx had the drive of his life and
won, Norris came sixth. Championship probably sorted.... Ocon second!!
Gasley Third!!!!
And that's the best you are going to get here.
In The FGP...
Some different names in the Top 10 and some absolutely massive scores!
Having Verstapen or Red Bull did you very good, but having Alpine or Gasley
as well did you very very good.
Not particularly good races for the top contenders but as they all ended
up in a similar small boat their Championship placings were left around the
same. Nip n Tuck were the biggest winners, jumping from 15th to 10th.
Elsewhere several ups and downs.
With three races to go there is now 178 points diving first place Ginger
Racing #1 and second place What A Load Of... that's a big increase over the
last race and now a big call to make up. 116 points separates that 2nd place
from 3rd, HoRace 1 and feasibly possible to catch, given that 4th is HoRace
2 I guess there's not to much concern which was round that is!
It could be a battle for the last five places in the Top 10 with very few
points between them and those just outside.
Three races left and one is Sprint weekend so some points are out there
still.
