Race 10: Canada
Sunday 15 June
Russell took pole, the victory and fastest lap in something of
a Mercedes turnaround, with Antonelli getting his first F1
podium in third. Verstapen was second.
What? No McLaren? Bit of a disaster for the papaya cars. Poor
practice, bad qualifying for Norris and then disaster in the
last few laps as they came together and Norris was out (he was
classified as 18th by the FIA).
Elsewhere, a better days for Alonso, in the points again. The
Ferrari's did their usual mediocre job but took 5th and 6th.
Hamilton drove most of the race with damage caused by running
into a groundhog that ran out in front of him.... no news yet on
the groundhog!
Lawson and Albon retired.
In The FGP...
Again we have a mixed up FGP result, with a lot of new and
rare visitors to the Top 10. Good to see one of the Charity
Teams getting some money, and one of our FGP rookies finally
grabs a quid!
HoRace 2 takes the win, the third of the four HoRace teams to
take a win so far.
The top of the Championship still belongs to Pole Position...
But there’s been quite a bit of shifting and shaking down the
rest of the Top 10. Elsewhere sees some small and some very big
moves going on.
Just two mores races to go and then we could see some bigger
changes as we hit Transfers 2, which I'd imagine will have a
much bigger impact than the somewhat minor T1.
