Race 2: China (with Sprint)
Sunday 16 March
The weekend started with the sad news of Eddie Jordan's passing, with many tributes paid throughout the F1 world.
In the Sprint, Hamilton took his first win in a red car.
Piastri dominated the rest of the weekend, taking pole with Russell second and Norris in third.
Good start by Piastri and he didn't falter all race, taking the win ahead of Norris who got past Russell off the start line, but suffered with a faulty brake pedal. Russell stayed third.
Aloso suffered overheating brakes and retired early.
Lawson had another nightmare weekend and is now under threat of losing that cursed Red Bull second seat.
Drama after the race.... Hamilton, Leclarc and Gasly were all disqualified due to car irregularities. (In the FGP they score no race points, but keep sprint and quallifying points)
In The FGP
So, with the Ferrari drama we still don't have the best of ideas where everyone is yet. Looks like being another tight season, and looks so far to be not so good for those that thought Lawson could be a good cheap Red Bull option... hmm, sounds like the same problem as last year with Perez!
Note:
There's been a lot of talk after the race regards Lawson and a possible switch with either Tsunoda or (would you believe!) Hadjar. If this sort of thing happens the following takes place in the FGP: If Lawson takes Tsunoda's seat at Racing Bulls, those who originally picked Tsunoda wiuld have Lawson, and vice versa. The FGP rule is you are actually picking the Constructors Driver 1 and Driver 2 positions, so you have whoever occupies that seat per race.
There's also talk of Doohan losing his seat, most likely to Colapinto. That one's easier. You get whoever takes the seat.
